About me

Hello, I am
Anita. I was raised bilingually Flemish-English in Ostend. I have been living in Brussels for about 20 years, a multicultural city with a
diversity that I love.
I started my studies in psychology after a career in the IT sector. Being a psychologist feels more like who I am than simply a choice. I graduated as Master in the clinical psychology at the Free University of Brussels. I followed a 4 year psychotherapy training at the IPRR institute and am now a systemspsychotherpist or family- and relationship psychotherapist. I continue to work as a employee supporting family's, parents and children. Over the years I have enjoyed extra training in variations of solution focused and brief therapy approaches including safety planning. I volunteered for years with the organisation Similes giving group support meetings for adult children of parents with a mental health problem. I have a special interest in trauma. Now I have made the choice to focus on individual adult clients in private practice.
